NCIS: Los Angeles season 10: When should Hetty return?
What’s going on here? Creatively, this move is a function of what is going on with the special prosecution looking into the behavior of both Mosley and Hetty following what happened in Mexico. She is fairly off the grid, and she said through voice modulation on Sunday night that she will be gone for a while.

As for what’s happening with Hunt herself, it’s possible that the actor is doing a smaller run of episodes similar to what happened last year; she was also in a car accident earlier in the summer, but expressed a willingness at the time to get back to work as soon as possible.
If we had to guess now on a possible Hetty return date, it was made fairly clear that she won’t be back on the CBS series next week. Instead, we think that it’s a little more likely that she will be back come the end of the year. We’d like to see Hetty back around in some capacity by Christmas; following that, she has to be there for Deeks and Kensi’s wedding regardless of when it is! It’s hard to imagine that the ceremony would be anywhere near the same without her being a part of it.
Rest assured, there will still be a good bit of Hetty to come over the rest of this season, even if you do have to wait for a good while in order to actually see it.
