Blue Bloods season 9 episode 3 video: What’s happening with Jamie, Eddie?
In the new sneak peek from Friday night’s new episode, you can see Jamie picking up that something is weird about his fiancée; with that in mind, he puts his police skills to use to get to the bottom of it. There isn’t any problem between them, but Eddie didn’t like seeing some of the cops in Jamie’s precinct being not altogether kind to him when he wasn’t around. It’s the same typical stuff that cops often do when it comes to their boss — or really, that any employee does in America — so we cannot be altogether surprised when we see it happening here, either. That’s the philosophy that Jamie also seems to have.
Basically, the challenge for Eddie then is going to be this: Holding her tongue when she sees people saying bad things about the man that she loves. She really has to remember that it has to do more with him being a Sergeant than it does anything related to him as a person. It’s a tough position for anyone to be in.
While it stinks that Jamie has some people talking about him behind his back, we will say that we do like these scenes of the two characters eating together outside of work! We were concerned that Eddie wouldn’t have as much of a role now that she and Jamie aren’t working together, but it does seem like the writers are going to get creative in figuring this out. We do want more scenes for them beyond just them having meals, but that is something that we may see more of over time.
