911 season 2 episode 6 will put characters in the public eye

What happens when first responders become temporary celebrities? This is something that 911 season 2 episode 6 could explore a little bit more! You’ll get a chance to see some of this play out a little bit later this month and on the surface, it feels like this is going to be fun. The celebrity world is a strange one to navigate, even if we’re talking here about 15 minutes of fame for a few characters as opposed to something that is lasting. (Remember that we’re talking here about Los Angeles; everyone will move on to the next big thing soon.)

This is a series that, almost on a constant basis, finds itself towing the line between character-based stories and also things that are intense and potentially tragic. This episode is going to bring you many of these things all at once, at least based on the 911 season 2 episode 6 synopsis that CarterMatt has below:

When the first responders race to the rescue of a crashed news copter, they unwittingly become the subject of an eager reporter’s first on-air assignment. Meanwhile, Bobby tries to deal with his daughter’s death, as Athena prepares for May’s homecoming dance. Then, Maddie struggles to let go of her fear of the past. Also, the team responds to emergencies at an eating contest, a bodybuilding competition and a toddler pageant in the all-new “Dosed” episode of 9-1-1 airing Monday, Oct. 22 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. While it’s easy to figure out what the emergencies could be at an eating contest and a bodybuilding show, what in the world happens at a toddler pageant? Did a couple of the parents get in a fight or something? This could prove to be a rather-fun mystery leading up to the episode, which may end up being anything but fun when it actually airs. It’s hard at times to find any humor or joy when you are watching characters, even fictional ones, more or less in grave danger.
