Criminal Minds season 14 premiere video: Garcia finds herself threatened

Criminal Minds season 14

Criminal Minds season 14 is premiering on CBS on Wednesday night, and based on the sneak peek that we have for you below, one thing is clear: Garcia is in some very-real trouble.

If you recall, the end of season 13 featured Kirsten Vangsness’ character (alongside Spencer Reid) being captured and tormented as a part of the Benjamin Merva cult. Also, they are far from being out of the woods now. The sneak peek features Penelope being threatened to either help the cult and their goals or risk losing her own life. She wants to see Reid and ensure that he is okay, but in slightly less-than-surprising news, they are not altogether willing to acquiesce to these demands.

While there is not exactly any signs of hope for Garcia in this sneak peek, she definitely does have one thing going for her: She works at the BAU. Emily Prentiss and her team are going to be doing whatever they can in order to find her and Reid, and we have to cross our fingers and hope that they are successful. It’s pretty easy to be confident in their abilities based mostly on track record alone.

Over the course of this episode, be prepared for a few big surprise twists and turns … and beyond that, there could also be some great Easter eggs to Criminal Minds seasons past. Given that this is the 300th episode, doesn’t it only feel fair that the show would go out of their way to honor its history?
