Here, you can see Matthew Gray Gubler, AJ Cook, Paget Brewster, and many other cast members discuss some of the most memorable moments from the show, whether it be freaky episodes, some surprise story twists, or getting the opportunity to either direct (see Aisha Tyler’s response) or watching some other actors direct. Kirsten Vangsness shares a particularly fun revelation that she made about Shemar Moore very early on in the series’ run, which really just reminds us of how much we actually miss Derek Morgan on the series.

No matter how long Criminal Minds sticks around on the air, we do remain optimistic that they will continue to tell fun, interesting stories. Season 14, at least per initial reports, is set to be one of the most personal ones on record. We’re going to have a chance to better understand why these characters value their jobs and what they struggle with daily. There could also be some surprise returns in the premiere and something big at the end — we feel like it’s a perennial struggle for this series to write a finale not knowing whether or not it is going to mark the end of the road.
