Blue Bloods season 9 premiere video: Frank talks Jamie, Eddie’s engagement at work
In the sneak peek, you can see how Frank is handling Jamko being together in terms of the job. He brings the news to work and it’s clear almost immediately that everyone has differing reactions to it — you can tell that he’s trying to put his best foot forward on this, but there are some mixed reactions to it elsewhere. Also, even some of the cops like Baker, one of the best in the business, are not even aware that it’s technically okay for Jamie and Eddie to ride together while in this relationship.
The question that Frank is going to have to deal with during this episode is whether or not he and the department altogether are okay with these two characters being together. Frank has to think of more than just himself here. Even if he feels fine with the two of them continuing to ride together, he also has to be aware of the fact that not everyone else may feel the same way. He can’t look like he is showing some level of favoritism towards his son, since that will cause many more problems in the department. There are going to be some tough conversations ahead in the premiere but hopefully, by the end of the episode there will be some more answers.
