Better Call Saul season 4 episode 8 preview: The story of ‘Coushatta’

Better Call Saul season 4

What is at the heart of Better Call Saul season 4 episode 8? We’ll get into that in just a moment, but let’s start with the title: “Coushatta.”

So what does that title mean? It’s either a reference to a group of Native American people, or a town in Louisiana that is around the area in which many Native people live. (There’s also a Coushatta Casino Resort in Louisiana.) What’s slightly interesting here is that the Coushatta people are known for being in the Texas – Arkansas – Oklahoma – Louisiana region, and with that, they’re not as well-known for being in New Mexico, where Better Call Saul is set. (There are a number of larger Native American communities in that state.)

Anyhow, sometimes Better Call Saul / Breaking Bad find ways to make rather unusual references work, and this may be the case here.

For more news on the actual story of this particular episode we have the Better Call Saul season 4 episode 7 synopsis below:

Jimmy goes to great lengths to right a wrong, as Kim pulls out all the stops for a case. Mike lets his team blow off steam. Nacho receives a visitor.

Just from this alone, it seems as though Jimmy and Kim are going to be separated and working on very different things for the sake of their future. Also, Nacho is going to have a story! That will be welcome news for many of you who feel like he hasn’t had all that much to do as of late. It does feel like it’s at least starting to heat up for him again.
