The Amazing Race Canada 6 finale: Who was the winner this year?

Tonight, The Amazing Race Canada 6 finale featured an interesting showdown between three different teams in Courtney & Adam, Taylor & Courtney, and Dylan & Kwame. They all brought different skills to the table, and there were certainly different ways to approach the finale. Going into it, you had to think that Taylor & Courtney were going to be the winners!

Yet, sometimes this show is about just winning the right leg at the right time, and this season is proof of that. For the first time all season long, Courtney & Adam finished a leg in first place, and that was enough to give them the grind prize in the end! The two now are significantly richer and have the title of season 6 champions!

We’ll admit that we’re somewhat surprised with the result given that we didn’t even project them in the finale for most of the season. They did just enough to survive, though, and in the end, that’s what this show is really all about. We also think that Courtney & Adam winning is actually really good for The Amazing Race Canada as a franchise as a whole, largely because it makes it so that the show is a little more unexpected moving forward. One of the biggest criticisms that we’ve had with this season overall is simply the fact that there have been too many predictable winners year in and year out, and having these two come out on top fixes that.

As for the final leg, it was certainly breathtaking — it may not have been our favorite final one in show history, but we love the snowy setting and that it gave the teams quite a bit of challenging stuff to do as a whole.
