Grey’s Anatomy season 15 spoilers: Betty will return

Grey's Anatomy season 14

While this bit of Grey’s Anatomy information is something we assumed was happening, isn’t it nice to get confirmation?

In a new post on Twitter, actress Peyton Kennedy officially confirmed (alongside a THR story) that her character of Betty is going to be back for season 15, which means that we’re going to continue to see more of the makeshift family established with her, her biological son Leo, Owen, and Amelia. All of this is of course made so much more complicated by the fact that Betty is an addict in recovery, and to go along with that, Owen just learned that Teddy is pregnant, seemingly with his child.

Obviously, there are a lot of different issues that will need to be dealt with during this season, and we’re curious to see just how Betty and/or Leo factor into many of them. In some ways, dealing with her has given Amelia another purpose — she’s got someone to care for who has been through some serious struggles. Amelia knows about addiction, just as she also knows how hard it can be to get to the other side of it still in one peace. Over the course of season 15, we imagine that there is still going to be a recovery process for her. While it may be difficult for eventually to know that Leo is being cared for by other people, hopefully she will be able to realize more how it is best for him. She needs to do serious work on herself and while Owen may not be perfect, he has wanted nothing more than to be a father figure more many years.

In the end, all of this is probably going to be very complicated — yet, at the same time we also imagine it being very much entertaining.

Grey’s Anatomy season 15 is going to premiere on ABC this September. For more news on the Teddy situation, be sure to visit the link here.
