How Yellowstone episode 8 prepares you for finale

Yellowstone

Yellowstone episode 8 is going to be coming up on the Paramount Network Wednesday night, and signs certainly point towards this being a big episode.

For starters, is John Dutton going to be stopped dead in his tracks? Politics have been at the center of this series for quite some time but, as the promo below indicates, you’re going to be seeing John Dutton do everything that he can to enforce some of his power. This has been a story stuffed full of intrigue, but it is also one we hope that there is some sort of closure on before the end of the season. There’s really only so long in which you can sustain an election story and with that, it makes sense to find some sort of way in which to resolve things.

Of course, with that there are some other questions as to what it means to be both a good father and also a good child — there is such a finely-steeped layer of tradition with this show, which makes sense when you think about where the series is set and also the rich history that comes with the land and the customs. You have been old-school characters who are used to both where they are and the sense of power that they have. Yet, Yellowstone is a series that exists in some ways at a collision course between the past and the present, where interests collide and leave a great deal of chaos in their wake. There is a lot of really exciting stuff coming leading up to the finale, but given that Wednesday’s episode is a two-parter, we do not anticipate much resolution.

For now, just enjoy the promo and prepare yourself for some more chaos down the line.
