Should Timeless movie wrap up every single loose end?

The question that we want to dive into within this particular article is rather simple: Should the Timeless movie wrap up every single loose end, just in case there is hope for a season 3 down the line?
At the moment, here is how we look at it — the whole purpose of the Timeless movie is to wrap up the big cliffhanger at the end of season 2 and give viewers closure. Doing another big cliffhanger at the end of this doesn’t make sense, and we’re sure NBC probably wouldn’t love another huge cliffhanger that leads to angry letters from many fans. There has to be some element of closure here so that nobody feels like Rufus is really dead — or the same thing with another character.
Now that we’ve said all of this, there’s an argument to be made that there is still a Lifeboat and Mothership out there, and even if Rittenhouse is stopped the Time Team is always going need to be out there to fight threats through the timeline. To us, the perfect ending is one that leaves it open that at some point in the future, our heroes will need to occupy their posts again to protect the timeline and save the world. It can just be a small reminder in what is a finale otherwise stuffed full of closure. For now, we don’t anticipate there being more Timeless after this given that there were already attempts to find the show a new home elsewhere for a longer season; yet, you never know what’s going to happen. It’s certainly possible that the ratings turn out to be bigger than expected for the movie and then parties get interested again!

Yes they should wrap up as many questions as possible.. It really doesn’t matter as the whole premise of the show is History and as long as they have the machine there will always be a story line. Make your movie, History will always be there!
