Quantico season 3 episode 12: Conor Devlin’s plan and a betrayal

Tonight, Quantico season 3 episode 12 had a goal that it wanted to accomplish: Continuing the saga of Alex vs. Conor Devlin. In order to do it effectively this time, it also shifted the setting over to Ireland for these final episodes.

The objective at the moment is fairly clear, as Alex and the remainder of her team are doing just about everything that they can in order to stop Conor and also find a little bit of further peace for themselves. Doing so is not easy when you think all of the different adversaries that they have to face off against in the process. There was a tactical part to what they were doing, but there were also some shootouts.

In the end, though, the results of the operation were somewhat mixed, mostly in that the FBI managed to get some of what they wanted. Yet, Conor also got increasingly desperate over time, which led to him attempting to frame the FBI in part before making a hasty retreat. Despite everything that they did within this episode in order to contain him, in the end, he still managed to get away. That means that there will be one more last stand on the other side of this episode, which also brought you an epic betrayal leading up to Devlin’s mistake by Fiona. We saw in this episode both the full reach of Conor’s influence but also that he is clearly running out of some people left.

Yet, this was a part of his plan. His entire idea was to get the FBI to orchestrate a raid so that he had a proper cover in order to kill his brother before doing his best to get away from some of the chaos.

Overall, Quantico season 3 episode 12 was a great episode that tried to end with a more personal way, which felt useful and needed after all of the chaos that happened during the episode. These team members are clearly going to need each other leading into the finale, especially since trust is, understandably, a harder thing to come by.

Oh, and there was a hookup with Alex and McQuigg right before we got to the very end of the episode — Devlin making it clear that everything will end once he has Ryan Booth, the man who killed his son.
