Nashville series finale video: Gideon’s relapse; Charles Esten’s message

The Nashville series finale is right around the corner, and as we gear up for that, why not check out a few previews?

Let’s start with the sneak peek that CarterMatt has for you featuring Deacon and Gideon, which seeks to (potentially) resolve the drama that is going on for the two characters. Gideon is entering the final few episodes seeking some sort of redemption for all of the terrible stuff that he has done, but the problem with that is mostly that he has no real track record showing that he is remotely worthy of any forgiveness. Why should Deacon believe him?

Gideon did put on a good face for a while, but at the end of this past episode, everything started to fall apart when it was made clear that Gideon was drinking yet again — in the sneak peek, he claims that this is not a permanent regression back to his old ways. Instead, he simply claims that he has struggled as of late because of the sudden pain that he’s felt. He believed that seeing his son and his new family would actually help his emotional healing process, but instead it was a reminder of everything that he missed.

Will Deacon forgive, and should he forgive? Those are two questions that you should be wondering as we see the final season wind down.

The second video features Charles Esten issuing what is a massive thank-you to everyone for their loyalty and support. While Nashville is a sad show sometimes with some sad twists, feeling these emotions can be a good thing. It is yet another sign that you care and that was always the intention from the start with this show.

The Nashville series finale is set to air on CMT come Thursday night.
