Shadowhunters team responds to branded Comic-Con pedicab

Shadowhunters season 3 spoilers

Even though the cast and crew for Shadowhunters may not be at San Diego Comic-Con this year, it’s pretty clear that the cast and crew are over the moon with the show’s presence there — generated in part by the fans!

As we reported yesterday, fans of the currently-canceled series (which is actively looking for a new season 4 home) have purchased some advertisements on pedicabs featuring #SaveShadowhunters front and center. This is something that we discuss further in the video below — be sure to subscribe to CarterMatt on YouTube in the event you want some other video discussions! It’s also something that show executive producer Todd Slavkin talked about in a new post on Twitter. That was echoed by Isaiah Mustafa, who did his best to offer support to the “famdom” who have fought so hard for another season.

As we’ve explained in some other articles/videos over time, there are still no guarantees that Shadowhunters will land another season. Yet, these expressions of support by the fans go a long way. If nothing else, they are a clear reminder that Shadowhunters is a show that other networks / streaming providers should consider bringing back for more. There doesn’t appear to be a clear timetable as to how long the cast and crew need to keep pushing, but to date they have been both passionate and smart in their approach to getting more of the show.

Also, Comic-Con is one of the perfect venues to make a big campaign statement — there are probably more people from the entertainment industry concentrated in one place here than any other TV-related event out there, save for maybe the Emmys or the Golden Globes. They will get some recognition and attention here; whether or not that turns into anything else remains to be seen, but let’s continue to try and put our best foot forward.
