What’s coming up on The Bold Type season 2 episode 8? The title for this episode is “Plan B,” and you have to think it’s named that for a reason. This is a bold title that could be a reference to a bold subject, and that really seems to be what season 2 is all about. The goal for this show is to tell a story that is about a few women trying to make it in a difficult industry in New York City, while navigating some difficult problems along the way. Many of these problems do just so happen to be problems that many people are going through in 2018, whether it be in New York City or elsewhere.

After an intimate moment mishap with Ben, Jane evaluates if motherhood is in her future because of her BRCA gene mutation. Kat is eager to flaunt her social media influence by partnering with a beauty brand that offers her an opportunity to be their spokesperson. Meanwhile, Sutton makes her first major fashion department decision without Oliver.

Clearly, you’re going to get within this episode a mixture of serious stories with things that are a little bit lighter and pleasant. When it comes to the social-media story, one of the things that we’re curious about is seeing the dichotomy between what Kat wants and what this company may want from her. On paper, being an influencer may be rather great, especially if you’re making a ton of money doing it. Yet, it also has some limitations and anything you attach yourself to sticks with you for some time. We do wonder just how much some of this will stick with her moving forward this season, or really in the years to come beyond that.
