MacGyver season 3 scoop: Leanna sticking around; episode count (for now)
Per the show’s official CBS Studios International page, the series is listed as having a 22-episode season. That’s more than the 21-episode season 1, but also one less than the 23-episode season 2. Of course, this number is always subject to change — CBS has added episodes to original orders in the past, and that’s something they could very well do again here depending on whatever their episode needs are. (We have a hard time thinking that anyone is going to be upset over the idea of getting 23 or 24 episodes in the event one more is ordered.)
Meanwhile, you also should be rather pleased to know that Leanna, following her debut this past season, seems to be sticking around. She is present in the new photo below via series star Justin Hires (Bozer), and we’re not altogether surprised given that she was brought on to do more work with the Phoenix Foundation at the end of last season. There’s no guarantee that she will be a regular, but there is a good chance that she could be a presence this year. In some ways, you can argue that there is a void still within the Phoenix Foundation Team that still needs to be filled. After all, there was never any firm replacement for Samantha Cage after she exited at the midway point of last season; we’ve yet to get any indication that Isabel Lucas is ever going to return to the series, either.
