Power season 5 episode 3 video: Could Tasha try to kill Kanan?

We’ve got a new Power season 5 episode 3 promo for you below via Starz, and we like to think that this one proves one thing more so than any other: The series is starting out as intense as humanly possible. We’re getting to see unlikely characters butt heads, but then also unlikely characters work together.

In the case of the latter, let’s start things off here with the unexpected partnership that seems to exist now between Tasha and Angela. This relationship seems to be originating out of what’s blooming over at Internal Affairs, where Angela has already been connected in part to what is going on with Ray Ray. If there are connections already established between Ray Ray and Raina’s death, that’s bad news since it eventually could come back to Tariq … someone who Tasha obvious wants to protect. Angela’s already gotten herself involved in this case and because of that, she is now in a position where her career is one the line. Whether they like each other or not, these characters are going to have to work together.

Beyond all of this, we also now have another intriguing question: What are the chances that Tasha tries to make a move against Kanan? She makes it rather clear in the promo that this is something that she is rather interested in doing, and we do understand it. She holds Kanan responsible for Tariq ever getting into the position where Ray Ray would want to target his sister.

This episode could prove to be shocking, but we also could foresee Tasha, begrudgingly, realizing that she can’t do anything about Kanan for the time being. There is a recognition at this point that taking out Dre is one of the most important things that can be done, and using Kanan is a key to doing that. If we were Tasha, really the best thing that we would hope for is that these characters can find a way to work together and, on the other side of that, hope that Kanan just goes away and his happy with the now power he’s acquired.
