Lucifer season 4 teases: A number of dangling threads

Lucifer

When Lucifer season 4 premieres on Netflix, most likely in the new year, there are going to be a number of different issues for the producers to address. Many of these were established at the end of season 3, and despite the long layoff between seasons airing, it does not appear as though any of these storylines are going to be ignored.

In a recent interview with TVLine, show executive producer Joe Henderson revealed what a number of these different loose threads are:  “We left a lot of things dangling … Dan blames Lucifer for Charlotte’s death…. Ella’s having a crisis of faith…. Is Amenadiel coming back? We wanted to leave a lot of questions in the air.” Now, for the sake of this article, we’re going to focus on what a number of them could mean.

“Dan blames Lucifer for Charlotte’s death” – This one is complicated, mostly in this is obviously not something that Lucifer intended. Yet, Dan cared about Charlotte deeply and was just starting to commit himself to this idea. Being apologetic and repairing broken bridges is not something that Lucifer Morningstar really excels at and with that, he’s going to have his work cut out for him in his efforts to repair things here. Hopefully, he does since Dan/Lucifer episodes are always a good time.

“Ella’s having a crisis of faith” – This one is also fun for a very different reason, mostly in that faith within a show called Lucifer is such an interesting concept to explore. Imagine how Ella would feel if she was to ever figure out everything that was going on around her. Lucifer and Amenadiel could actually choose to help her, if they wanted, even without giving all of their secrets away. That does bring us to the next thing…

“Is Amenadiel coming back?” – We have to think that he will, largely because having no DB Woodside for season 4 would be a shame. We wouldn’t be shocked if it took a couple of episodes for him to come back, but we’re also curious as to whether or not his time up in Heaven would change his perspective on anything.
