Lucifer season 4 writers room officially underway!

Lucifer

For everyone out there excited for Lucifer season 4 to happen, today marks a significant milestone on the road to that. The writers room is now officially open!

In a new post on Twitter (which CarterMatt has for you to see below), Lesley-Ann Brandt confirmed the news that many out there may have heard previously — not too long after Netflix officially saved the series, the writers are all now congregating, carefully plotting over whatever stories they want to deliver for us for the coming season. We know that this season has a lot to address just in terms of the cliffhanger — after all, season 3 ended with Chloe finding out the truth about Lucifer’s devil face. The premiere will likely deal with the aftermath of that, and then the show ventures into the great unknown story-wise. We know Tom Ellis is keen to make the series darker, but beyond just that we know that much of the signature humor and elements from the first three seasons will return. We reported earlier that the producers may have fewer limitations with the series being on Netflix rather than Fox, but that doesn’t mean that the show’s going to start firing off f-bombs left and right.  The plan isn’t to change the overall feel of the series.

Later this summer, filming on Lucifer season 4 will officially begin — there is no firm premiere date set just yet, but our personal hope is that it will be ready by the spring of next year at the latest. While that’s a long wait, we do think that it’s going to be a rather worthwhile one since these episodes are going to be even more celebratory than normal. While we think that Lucifer is a special job that the entire cast and crew probably love to do, it has to feel a little bit different doing it knowing full well that the series is there thanks entirely to the fans who fought in order to save it. This should be one of the greatest, most creative seasons for the series yet.
