For this spotlight, we’re heading to Vegas, where Rachel Swindler gets the chance to be the second Las Vegas-related Rachel in Big Brother history. She also has a last name that seems perfect for a poker dealer, though she’s actually a singer. It’s probably going to really suck for her being in a house for the next few months (at most) where they don’t allow singing…

Houseguest comparison – For starters, how does Rachel not say that Rachel Reilly is her favorite? She is Vegas! (She actually says Britney Haynes.) For us we’d say Rachel, strategy-wise, as similar to Becky from season 17 in that she has some athleticism, but wants to try to lay low in the early going. As far as we know, though, Rachel was not hit by a train.

Have they seen the show before? – Given that she references Britney Haynes and it’s been a minute since she was on the show, she’s probably a fan. We’re not sure she’s a superfan who watches the live feeds, but she understands the game reasonably well.

Fun facts – She’s done a little bit of acting work here and there, she admits to being manipulative to get tips for her performances on the job (she refers to it as her “power over men”), and apparently her friends call her “Craychel,” which is mostly odd in that there’s nothing in her bio that we think of as altogether crazy at all. For a performer in Las Vegas she actually seems surprisingly well-adjusted.

Early assessment – Rachel is one of those examples of people who is clearly on the show to benefit from it, but we don’t mind since she actually does seem to like the show and is interested in playing the game. Also, watch the video we have for you below — she’s a genuinely good singer! We wouldn’t be upset if she got a little press out of this, and she has a chance of making it really far and contending. There are no major red flags in her bio.
