The Originals season 5 episode 8 preview: ‘The Kindness of Strangers’
The Originals season 5 episode 8 synopsis offers up a little bit more insight as to what is coming up:
CHAMBRE DE CHASSE – As pressing matters rage on in New Orleans, the Mikaelson siblings find themselves forced to set aside their differences and work together to escape a “chambre de chasse.” Joseph Morgan, Daniel Gillies, Charles Michael Davis, Riley Voelkel and Danielle Rose Russell also star. Kellie Cyrus directed the episode written by Beau DeMayo & Carina Adly MacKenzie (508). Original airdate 6/6/2018.
We almost wonder if the Mikaelsons are being forces to work together by an interested party who knows that it’s the best thing for all of them if they are all back in the same orbit once more. We’ve certainly seen a lot of disarray already this season and in the aftermath of losing Hayley, they are all going to need each other. Obviously, there’s a tremendous amount of water under the bridge, but you can argue that there’s been some water under the bridge for centuries. They’ve always managed to figure out a way to get back to each other and with that in mind, we like to think that it can happen again this season. We’re getting ever closer to the series finale and as we start to approach that further, we imagine that figuring out a way to unite will become all the more important. If nothing else, seeing these characters within this chamber should prove to be exciting and a little bit different insofar as flavors go for the series.
