Queen of the South season 3 lands The Exorcist actor Alfonso Herrera
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Herrera is going to be appearing on the USA drama as Javier Gallegos in a recurring capacity. The character is a very dangerous guy, someone who is effectively a mercenary out to kill whoever he’s hired to take out. He is a cousin of Boaz Jimenez and a longtime member of that crime organization. Per the character description he “rides a motorcycle, enjoys the company of ladies and isn’t one to turn down a good time.” Basically, he’s more than just a stone-cold killer.
You are going to see the Javier character in the second half of the upcoming Queen of the South season, which premieres on USA come Thursday, June 21. (Head over here in the event you want to preview the show more.) This show has become one of summer’s hidden gems, one that continually excels when it comes to bringing forward a lot of drama even if, at the same time, there isn’t all that much out there when it comes to promotion beyond USA.
This isn’t the only time that you are going to see Herrera over the course of the summer — provided, of course, that you are a Sense8 fan. The actor is going to be a part of the upcoming series finale movie, which is launching on Netflix come June 8. We know that this in particular is very much a long time coming for many fans out there who have been hoping for some sort of proper conclusion following the original cancellation.
Hopefully, there’s going to be a little more in the way of Queen of the South updates as we get a little closer to the upcoming premiere.
