Billions season 3 episode 9 sneak peek: Chuck names his target

What’s coming up on Billions season 3 episode 9? Let’s just say that, at the center of this episode, is quite a quest for Chuck Rhoades: Seeing if there is a way to collect necessary information on Jock Jeffcoat. While much of the show first began with Chuck doing everything that he can in order to go after Bobby Axelrod, since that point the series has greatly evolved.

Now, moving into this episode we’re going to see Chuck take an all-hands-on-deck approach to digging up dirt on Jeffcoat, but the thing here is that Chuck may be a little more transparent in what he is working on than he even realizes. The end scene of this promo featuring Jeffcoat is a piece of evidence of that.

Axe is clearly dealing with some of his own problems — namely, Taylor. Also, he’s got to think about everything going on with Grigor Andolov, who has shown himself to be a fascinating player within a reasonably short period of time. Getting John Malkovich aboard the series was a pretty big win, mostly because to take on some of these formidable actors you need someone with a reasonably-equal sort of fortitude. You get it with this character. As for his final endgame, though, that does seem to fall under “too early to tell” just because we’ve really only seen this character a short period of time and with that in mind, there are still a number of different ways in which we see things evolving.

We are getting near the end of season 3 and one way or another, things are going to hit the fan. The good news for Chuck and Axe is with there being a season 4 already in the books, it’s hard to imagine anything too serious happening to them. Yet, there could still be a way for things to fall apart.
