Dancing with the Stars: Athletes finale: Was Adam Rippon, Josh Norman winner?
Was Adam Rippon on Josh Norman the winner of Dancing with the Stars: Athletes? Tonight, those two competitors were squaring off, along with Tonya Harding, were squaring off for the title of this short-lived season.
Let’s start things off here with a little bit of honesty in that going into the finale, it really didn’t seem as though there was a whole lot of drama when it comes to the winner. Rippon has dominated much of the season and, for the most part, he is the consensus winner of the season. There is little reason to think that anyone else would emerge with the title based on the cumulative strength of his performances.
With that being said … we do think that there are times in which consensus favorites don’t win. It has happened before throughout Dancing with the Stars and we’ve got a good feeling that it will happen again before this franchise comes to a close.
In this case, though, let’s just get to the part where we declare the winner. ADAM AND JENNA JOHNSON HAVE THE TROPHY. He’s definitely deserving, but one of the strangest parts of the whole process of getting the results is seeing so many people shout “rigged” to the heavens. This is the same thing that the ballroom show does every season! There’s always a contestant who has a more natural proclivity to doing ballroom dance than almost everyone else and this time around is no different. This was probably the result we were destined to get from the start, but it was due to hard work more so than anything else.
If there was one thing we feel about this season overall, it’s this: That everyone had a chance to take place in a complete season.
