Hawaii Five-0 season 9 premiere date hopes for Alex O’Loughlin, cast

At the conclusion of tonight’s finale, we imagine that there is going to be one big question on your mind: What is the Hawaii Five-0 season 9 premiere date going to be? Over the course of this article, we want to do our best to answer that very question!

Earlier this year, the good news was officially announced by CBS that we were going to get a season 9 of the Alex O’Loughlin series and we feel like the response to that was, of course, overwhelmingly positive. Why wouldn’t it be? At this point, Hawaii Five-0 is a staple of Friday-night television, it generates great ratings, and beyond that it has started a trend of great Peter Lenkov shows on CBS including MacGyver and now the upcoming Magnum PI reboot, which is going to be airing on Monday nights this fall. When Hawaii Five-0 season 9 premieres, it will be in the same timeslot you’ve come to know and love it — Fridays at 9:00 p.m. Eastern. Not only that, but it will be surrounded by some of the shows you know and love including MacGyver and Blue Bloods. Alex O’Loughlin and Scott Caan are each reportedly going to be returning for the season, so you don’t have to spend any of the hiatus fretting too much over their future.

As for the long-term future of Hawaii Five-0 beyond season 9, we are cautiously optimistic that there will be a season 10. The ratings seem to be good enough to make it happen and beyond that, we have heard O’Loughlin say in the past that he would be open to doing a couple more years. Season 10 is a great milestone number and at this point, the cast and crew could reexamine their future from there. We do recognize that the series must end eventually, as no show sticks around forever; we just want to see it last for as long as humanly possible because Hawaii Five-0 is a Friday-night joy. In between the tremendous action and the Steve – Danny arguments, it gives you reasons to watch that few other shows do.

Hawaii Five-0 season 9 should premiere on CBS in late September; we expect the network to make a formal announcement this summer.
