Outlander season 4: Check out Sam Heughan’s This Morning appearance
In this interview, we actually got a good bit of insight on the series, including the fact that next week Sam is heading back to work in order to kick off filming on the finale. The series is getting close to the end of the road now, and in the aftermath of that the cast is going to be on hiatus for the next several months. Based on a recent interview with Caitriona Balfe, it appears as though Outlander will not resume filming for the fifth season until early next year.
Meanwhile, Heughan said the following when it comes to what some of the general story is going to be coming up for season 4:
“[Season 4] is about them establishing a home in America. It’s a New World … It really is about America in its infancy. Of course, the course of true love never runs smoothly. They’re fine for a while, [but after that there’s some] jeopardy.”
This season is going to bring you some of what you expect (action, romance, and great performances), but also a new flavor in part due to its new setting. With the characters in a new place, there is also going to be new people and experiences that await them.
Beyond just Outlander, this interview also touches on Sam working to start up his own whisky plus also him continuing to run marathons in support of Cahonas Scotland and My Peak Challenge. Despite being only around six or so minutes, there is quite a bit packed into this segment as a whole!

Rest assured that there is a way in which to do that! Sam is going to be a part of The Adventure Show on Wednesday in a special airing at 8:00 p.m. on BBC Two Scotland. It will be available in iPlayer in Britain soon after that and, internationally, they will be a way to purchase it for a small fee. (We’ll have more on that after it airs.)
