Quantico canceled at ABC; Priyanka Chopra series ending

Unfortunately, Quantico is officially going to be embarking on its final mission this year. Due to low ratings, ABC has officially canceled the series featuring Priyanka Chopra.

Why make this move so soon into the show’s run this season? The simple reason for that is that the ratings just weren’t up to snuff. To date this season, Quantico has brought in a 0.5 rating on average within the 18-49 demographic — this is down significantly from when How to Get Away with Murder or Scandal was on the air, and it just wasn’t what the network was looking for.

With this being said, it really never felt like Quantico had all that much of a chance this season when you think about when it started and also not having the same sort of promotion that a typical network show did. It had a bit of bumpy ride really throughout the entirety of its run on television, undergoing a number of creative and cast changes before adopting something in season 3 that was a little less high-concept than the two that aired before. Unfortunately, all of these changes were too little, too late, and now the series is not going to have a chance to stick around any longer.

With all of this in mind, the series finale of Quantico is set to air later on in the summer. Even though the show is ending, as of right now there are no plans to move the series from its timeslot. Hopefully, it remains that way since the last thing that we want to see is a situation in which the show gets bumped off before the finale.
