Blue Bloods season 8 finale video: The Reagans confront attacks on police

Blue Bloods season 8

The Blue Bloods season 8 finale coming up on Friday night is going to be one of the most pivotal installments of the season, especially in terms of raising the stakes for the Reagans and presenting them with a conflict that impacts them all.

Ultimately, what is happening in this episode (entitled “My Aim is True”) goes a little something like this: There are a series of attacks that are happening throughout the city, and it looks as though police officers are the ones being targeted. Now, the question that you have to wonder in advance here is this: Are these attacks perpetrated by six wrongfully-convicted men who were recently released from prison? These are people who may be motivated to act out as revenge. This is a dangerous situation for police to be in — their job is to obviously protect the people of New York City and it is infinitely more difficult when they also have to look over their shoulder for someone who may in turn be targeting them.

The sneak peek is fairly rare, mostly in that you get all of the Reagans together without them eating dinner or without the kids around. This should just be another piece of evidence as to precisely how dire this situation actually is for them. We know that by the end of this episode Jamie and Eddie could find themselves in a situation where their lives are on the line, but the synopsis released for this episode in advance leaves things fairly ambiguous as to whether or not it is linked to anything going on with the aforementioned case.

Given that this is Blue Bloods, expect above all else a number of surprises, great character drama, and some closing scenes that could leave you very much intrigued about what is coming up in a potential season 9 for the series.
