Shadowhunters season 3 episode 7 sneak peek: Maia’s surprise

Want to know what’s coming on Shadowhunters season 3 episode 7 when it comes to Maia? Judging from the sneak peek below, there’s going to be some interesting drama coming when she realizes that Jordan is in Simon’s apartment. This preview starts out casual enough, but it quickly turns to shock when she enters the picture and discovers, in turn, that Jordan is there.

It feels like this is a pretty appropriate foundation for what is going to be a big episode for the Maia character — over the hour, we’re going to get a better sense as to her past, who she is, and also some of what she wants out of her future. It’s been known for a good while that this is a character who would get a little more attention this season and this marks a chance to pay that forward. This is also one of the luxuries of a twenty-episode season: The touch to really dive into various backstories and explore characters more than we would get a chance to do on some other shows. We like that Shadowhunters is doing thing now, but also not straying from some of the other stuff that matters over the course of the upcoming season.

So what else are we going to see in this episode? Most notably, some of our heroes are going to really heat up the battle against Lilith in the aftermath of learning more about what happened with her and Jace and, beyond that, if there is a way to stop her and save him at the same time. This is not going to be an easy task, and it could take some smart thinking on the part of Magnus and others to make it happen.
