Shadowhunters season 3 episode 7 preview: Journey to Alicante
Freeform is, understandably, not revealing all that much right now when it comes to the story ahead; however, we do at least have the Shadowhunters season 3 episode 7 synopsis below:
With the Owl’s identity revealed, Alec, Isabelle, and Clary head to Alicante to try and find a way to stop him. Luke and Simon team up to track Lilith’s latest possible victim. Maia reflects on her past.
The first thing that we do want to point out here is definitely worth celebrating: A chance to really see Luke and Simon working together again! It feels like this has been needed ever since everything that happened with Simon’s accidental powers a little bit earlier on this season. We also don’t think there are two better people to track what’s going on with Lilith right now than Luke and Simon — they’ve got the perfect combination of real-world ability and then also supernatural skill.
Beyond just that, this episode should also prove to be great from the standpoint of seeing Maia’s past. She’s a larger character this season and with that, it does make sense to get more of a personal story from her. Often, learning a whole lot more about a character is essential for wanting to root for them even more. This episode could serve as a great opportunity to achieve that.
Ultimately, we do expect the story to build from one week to the rest for the rest of at least the first half of the season. Perhaps the most critical thing to point out here is strictly that we haven’t even made it to a major showdown between Lilith and most of the Shadowhunters (in person) yet.
