Outlander season 4 spoilers: Check out a new John Bell – Young Ian photo!
You can see this new behind-the-scenes image below via the show’s official Twitter, and it gives you a pretty good sense as to what the brilliant Terry Dresbach was able to do when it comes to his period costume! Remember that the fashion for this season will very much be different from what we saw in season 3. These are characters who are definitely in a different part of the world and with that, will be exposed to different materials and customs. Their clothes have to suit their environment and help them weather whatever sort of conditions are going to come their way. Bell looks fantastic for what we can see here, and it’s just the tiniest of tastes for what should be a super-exciting season 4 in general.
Remember that Outlander season 4 is premiering on Starz this fall, and we continue to give the fine folks over at the network some credit for remembering to share some teases along the way. These make the Droughtlander a little more palatable — plus, it gives us something more to discuss. We know that there is a very interesting journey ahead for Young Ian, who is certainly already a very different person than when we first met him in Scotland. You don’t go back to being who you once were when you go through some of the things that he did with Geillis Duncan and the lengthy, torturous journey that he went on to America.
Hopefully, though, along the way Ian does still have some of the zeal for life and sense of humor that he had during season 3. He had many fantastic scenes before the voyage, especially some of the ones with Cesar Domboy as Fergus. More excitement is to come for both him and every other member of the cast.
