Chicago Med season 3 episode 17 video: Dr. Charles vs. Robert Haywood

Chicago Med season 3

Tuesday night’s Chicago Med season 3 episode 17 is right about here, and with that in mind you better be prepared for some SERIOUS emotion. That is especially the case for Dr. Charles as he has the challenge of having to see Robert Haywood through what could end up being some of his final days.

If you recall, Dr. Reese’s father is in desperate need of a heart transplant; however, there hasn’t been any success when it comes to finding him one. His relationship with his daughter is also nonexistent and it feels like we’re on the cusp of seeing this man, who really lacks the ability to be able to empathize with anyone, die both sad and alone. To make matters all the more interesting, it just so turns out that Haywood seems to hold a good bit of resentment towards Dr. Charles (see the sneak peek below) over some of what’s happened — this may be a way to keep him from having to hope as much with it himself. Also, it’s a distraction from some of the other pain in which he may be experiencing.

While it is far from a sure thing at present that we are getting near the end of the road when it comes to Robert Haywood, we also have to say that we’re not altogether hopeful. This is a show where sad things do happen and we haven’t exactly had too many bits of evidence at the moment that he could turn around. It does appear as though Dr. Rhodes is going to do what he can in order to help and that may be the one silver lining heading in Haywood’s direction — we do know that Rhodes is as good as they come and more than likely, this man is going to need some sort of a miracle.
