Gotham season 4 episode 20 return date: ‘This Old Corpse’
The bad news here is that there is, alas, no new installment coming onto Fox next week. The good news, however, is that this is the final hiatus of the season and after that, we’ve got new episodes coming the rest of the way. This is a chance to see all sorts of chaos and surprises across the board, whether it be via the Joker, some of the other villains, or simply some surprise, external factors that could be working their way into Gotham. These final episodes have the potential to be an eruption of crazy and could establish an endgame that will change the show forever. We are still waiting to learn the truth on a season 5 renewal, but for the time being we’re doing out best to keep some optimism alive. There’s nothing to really gain from pessimism and, beyond that, we do think that there is a lot more story to tell.
Below, the Gotham season 4 episode 20 synopsis offers up some other insight regarding what’s coming up:
Chaos erupts at the GCPD, sending Gordon on a wild goose chase for the culprit behind the mass takeover. Meanwhile, a friend of Bruce’s becomes paranoid, resulting in rash and destructive behavior in the all-new “A Dark Knight: That Old Corpse” episode of GOTHAM airing Thursday, May 3 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (GTH-420)
It’s actually somewhat interesting how Gotham is being a little more cryptic with its episode descriptions as of late, which is something we feel is probably a function of the Joker’s arrival. Since many of these descriptions come out weeks before the installments air, the network had to be a little more choosy with the language that they chose to pass along. We’ll see if that now changes as we get closer to the finale and the Jeremiah – Joker news is now out there.
