The Durrells season 3 episode 4 review: Meet Prince Jeejeebuoy
Let’s just say that this Prince brought some advantages and disadvantages to the community. While Prince did have many great stories to share and advice from his part of the world, he was also stubborn, judgmental, and had no problem being blunt to people’s faces. He was pretty rude to Louisa about her drinking — which she may have been doing after also getting stuck with Captain Creech temporary at the Prince’s urging.
Yet, Prince did end up bringing some joy to the Durrells’ lives and Louisa came around to him. He actually did help her with his suggestion, though an incident at Gerry’s prospective school also sealed the deal with her and her drinking habit. They formed such a friendship that by the end of the episode, she was ready to coin him as the fifth member of the Durrell family!
Leslie’s cop training — and romantic issues
We’ve learned that he is doing his part to take on a new career in with the police, and with that trying to recover from some of his mistakes. Yet, he still hasn’t quite figured out what to do when it comes to Daphne. She was expecting a baby and he had to figure out how to deal with that. He wanted to be there for her; yet, he also didn’t love her. This was a storyline about understanding and compromise, and such things are not always easy.
So who was able to help Leslie manage some of his stress? Prince yet again! He taught him some skills when it comes to meditation … or at least he did briefly before Daphne turned up again. Her family and his met up, and they showed that despite Leslie and Daphne’s unusual situation that they could all get along.

Was there still a dramatic ending?
After a lighter episode in some parts we expected to see something shocking — yet, we just got to see the arrival of a sloth in Corfu! Who doesn’t love sloths? If Kristen Bell is watching this episode it’d probably be her favorite one ever. No drama here … at least for now.
CarterMatt Verdict
In between Prince, the Captain (who eventually came to terms with Louisa), and Larry’s friends the Albanians who he met while stranded out in the water, this was a fun episode about learning to cooperate with different groups of people. There were moments of laughter, but also some serious conflicts that needed to be navigated.
