After Supernatural success, Scooby-Doo plans crossovers with Hawaii Five-0, Timeless, more

Let’s face it: The past week or so has been the best for Scooby-Doo since arguably the 1970’s. The beloved Mystery Machine gang took to the airwaves on Supernatural and nothing was ever quite the same. The ratings were fantastic, the reviews through the roof, and suddenly the majority of the viewers suddenly had a craving for Scooby Snacks again – don’t think other networks haven’t taken notice.

With everyone eager to jump on the bandwagon, we’re pleased to report today that TV executives everywhere have also apparently caught Scooby fever and want a piece of that very lucrative pie– following the success of the Supernatural episode, CarterMatt has learned that many other shows are looking to employ the Scooby-Doo crew for a number of their upcoming episodes. To go along with that, here are some of their plans.

Hawaii Five-0 – On an upcoming episode Steve and Danny finally open their long-awaited restaurant! Soon after that, they learn Scooby and Shaggy are two of their first customers. Steve, (smittened with dogs after having Eddie for months), encouraged the restaurant to be dog-friendly. As it turns out, terrible move. Scooby and Shaggy ate all of their food and the restaurant closes down two hours later.

Timeless – The Time Team are paid a visit from Velma, who hears about their operation and comes to them with one goal: Trying to keep those live-action Scooby movies from the 2000’s from ever happening.

Criminal Minds – The BAU and the Scooby gang’s worlds collide when they hear about a guy dressed up as a ghost who is terrorizing people at a local tourist trap. The BAU struggles to reconcile working alongside a talking dog; meanwhile, Scooby struggles throughout the episode as he has a difficult time telling Shaggy and Spencer Reid apart.

The Big Bang Theory – Sheldon yells “bazinga” at Shaggy, who then yells back “zoinks.” Velma chimes in with “jeepers,” and this basically devolves into an hour of watching people yell various catch-phrases at one another which will result in CBS selling a ton of tee-shirts and other catch-phrase merchandise adding to the already massive pile of money they sleep on at night. Once Sheldon learns that the Scooby gang has met Green Lantern and Batman it leads to a chest puffing/name-dropping every famous person he’s ever met.

Supergirl – Daphne falls for Mon-El, who is currently struggling with his feelings for Imra and Supergirl, who was previously into James, who now seems to be with Lena. Meanwhile, Fred seems to be developing feelings for Lena and the entire show devolves into a ‘shipping extravaganza! Shaggy doesn’t care about any of this and just wants to try Kara’s favorite pot stickers. Kevin Smith directs this episode, giving him a chance to dive into two properties he loves.

Hopefully, we’ll get some more information about these episodes in due time, but for now it seems as though all of these stories are being tentatively scheduled for April 1, 2019.
