Supergirl season 3 episode 14 photos: Is Jeremy Jordan singing?
The photo above features Winn alongside his mother (Laurie Metcalf) seemingly performing the classic song “Take On Me” from A-Ha. This sounds awesome, and this song also has a tendency to remind us of The Leftovers after the role it had on a specific season 3 episode of that show. This looks like a hoot, and it seems almost as though mother and son are taking advantage of the opportunity to bond after spending many years from each other. Within this episode, she is going to approach Winn following the apparent death of his father in prison, saying that he was doing everything that he could in order to ensure that the two parties stayed apart.

But, is she really who she claims to be in terms of a loving maternal figure? We wonder about that given that this situation has a very specific Trickster / Prank vibe to it. Plus, if you’re going to get Metcalf on the show aren’t you going to find a way to really allow her to shine? Having her play evil is the clearest, most-obvious way in which to get your money’s worth with her as a part of the show.
Remember also the episode’s title: “Schott in the Heart.” If that doesn’t suggest that there are some devastating reveals coming up in the future, what will? (Also, we personally love the fact that it’s a pretty wonderful reference to Bon Jovi.)
Really, the only thing that would be disappointing about this episode is if we were to see Winn and his mother singing in this photo only to later learn that this is not in the episode. How can you tease Jeremy Jordan singing in an episode like this?
