MacGyver season 2 finale forecast: How could the Lucas Till series wrap things up (for now)?

In this MacGyver season 2 finale forecast article it’s pretty clear that we have quite a bit to discuss! We’re getting close to the end of the season and there are many different stories with that still floating around in the ether. Some of them may be resolved before the finale but, for now, we’re assuming that there will be at least a few dangling threads. That allows for a little bit more fun when it comes to some of the discussion/speculation.

Now, let’s go ahead and get into some of the specific stuff that you can expect to see on the series coming up.

1. Introduce Mac’s dad – We know that for much of the second season Mac has been searching for this man. With the finale almost here, isn’t it high time to meet him in the flesh? We do like to think so! We know that casting big names is effective for promotion but we almost prefer that producers go more for someone who has an emotional connection more so than just about anything else.

2. Establish Matty’s history with Mac’s dad – We definitely know that there is a mystery here at play and that is something we are super-eager to explore. Matty’s history with Mac better informs her as a character and, in turn, roots her more in the mythology. The more great material for Matty, the better.

3. Shore up Bozer’s personal life – Will he still be dating Leanna at this point? We’re more than fine if that happens, but the finale is a good time to test how serious they are. We haven’t backed away at all from ‘shipping him with Riley.

4. Villains – There needs to be a big one for the finale, even if it is not Murdoc. Just give us someone to fear and someone who can challenge Mac and the entire Phoenix Foundation on an intellectual level.

5. Some answers on Samantha Cage – Is she ever going to return? She almost died earlier this season and since that time has been completely MIA, even to the point where she hasn’t been acknowledged in recent episodes. Yet, Isabel Lucas is still listed as a main cast member in some press releases. The finale is a good time in which to address this one way or another given that this was a character with some promise.

It goes without saying that we want a great finale cliffhanger; a season 3 seems highly likely and there’s no reason not to lead into that to a certain degree.
