American Crime Story season 3 (Katrina) premiere date hopes on FX
As for what exactly this third season will be, that is to a certain extent still a work in progress. The path to make Katrina: American Crime Story happen has certainly been tumultuous, to say the least. This was originally conceived to be a big-picture story about Hurricane Katrina and the aftermath of what happened with FEMA and the United States government, with Dennis Quaid and Annette Bening each set to be a part of the cast. Yet, that season of the show never got off the ground and instead, executive producer Ryan Murphy shifted the story over to be something a little more intimate. The third season of American Crime Story is now set to focus on Memorial Medical Center in New Orleans, a place that was forced to make brutal decisions on the fate of some of its patients after being without power for days within the heart of the storm.
As of right now, the only things that are known about this season are that it could go into production a little bit later this year, and that Sarah Paulson, Murphy’s longtime collaborator, could play the part of Dr. Anna Pou, a woman forced to ask key questions regarding whether or not to euthanize many of the patients after a certain period of time.
Hopefully, Katrina: American Crime Story will air in 2019, but given everything that is going on with Murphy you don’t want to bank on anything for sure. He has another season of 911 in the works over at Fox and, to go along with that, has more American Horror Story and FEUD planned over at FX. Meanwhile, there’s another series in Pose coming up later this year and he also has a new deal with Netflix that is going to lead to some new projects coming up there in the future. In other words, we have no idea how this man even sleeps and are convinced that he might be half robot.
