The Durrells season 3 episode 2 preview: Daphne’s father shakes things up

Following tonight’s premiere, are you feeling pretty curious as to where The Durrells season 3 episode 2 could go from here? We come bearing some good news!

Beyond that, though, isn’t it nice to be able to travel back to Corfu for another batch of episodes? Geographically, this is a place that is so very different from anywhere else that you see on TV — beyond just that, you have a wonderful spirit of adventure and intrigue that comes with so many different cultures meeting up and molding into one another.

At the end of the day, though, The Durrells is really a story about family and relationships, and as season 3 continues pushing forward there will be opportunities to see some things change, evolve, and potentially unravel. Still reeling from the disastrous afternoon tea, Leslie goes to make amends with Dionisia, who he has decided he wants to be with. He sends a letter to Daphne to let her down gently, whilst Larry and Louisa take it upon themselves to discuss ‘the birds and the bees’ with him.

Meanwhile, Gerry becomes fascinated with an overgrown wall of insects in the garden and Margo busies herself with her new job as Theo’s assistant in his new X-ray facility in Corfu. However, the tranquility in the Durrells’ household doesn’t last long when Daphne’s father pays a visit to Louisa to deliver some life-changing news.

The Durrells season 3 episode 2 carries with it the potential to be one of the biggest episodes this season just in terms of pushing forward the story. We suppose that a lot of that has to do with whatever sort of news Daphne’s father chooses to hand down, but regardless we are pretty intrigued to check this story out overall.

The preview that aired after tonight’s episode suggests that Leslie is going to get into some hot water in his pursuit of Dionisia — at one point, he could have a gun pointed at him!
