Criminal Minds season 13 episode 17 preview: ‘The Capilanos’ and clowns

Criminal Minds season 13 premiere

Criminal Minds season 13 episode 17 is entitled “The Capilanos,” but beyond that we do think that this episode is going to be known as one thing: The clown episode. Matthew Gray Gubler is directing an installment that is going to be about a killer clown and trying to figure out precisely who they are and why they are doing some of the things that they are. The fact that all of this is happening in a small town in the Texas panhandle makes matter all the more curious.

The Criminal Minds season 13 episode 17 synopsis that CarterMatt has for you below offers up a little more news as to the nature of the case:

“The Capilanos” – The BAU is called to Oklahoma to investigate a murderous clown terrorizing the sleepy town of Guymon, on CRIMINAL MINDS, Wednesday, March 21 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

This episode is going to be an interested, twisted, and probably terrifying episode for some people out there who have clown fears. Personally, clowns don’t really bother us that much — it’s the whole “killer” part of the equation that is a little bit more terrifying. This is by far one of the most-hyped episodes of the season, at least when you think about an UnSub and a case-of-the-week story. When it comes to everything else that is happening at the BAU, it’s pretty darn obvious that things have been rather eventful as of late with Kim Barnes and everyone’s roles being juggled all over the place. This episode will hopefully continue to build up some momentum towards the end of the season and potentially one of the biggest finales to date. After all, it is still not clear if there will be a season 14 on the other side of it.
