When is Keith Carradine returning to Madam Secretary?
The character of President Dalton did not appear in Sunday night’s new episode, largely because of the fact that he is still recovery from his surgery. However, the character is not leaving the show, and nor is he being forced out of office. For the time being there is no verification that he will appear in next week’s new episode, but signs do point towards him being a part of the new installment airing on Sunday, March 25. The synopsis below via CBS should serve as your proof:
“The Unnamed” – Elizabeth and the team are caught in an uncertain situation when they are about to award a foreign leader with the Medal of Freedom but learn he may have known that a minority group in his country is being persecuted. Also, President Dalton doubts his ability to return to office after being cleared by his doctor, and a past family grievance is brought to light when Henry’s sister pays a visit, on MADAM SECRETARY, Sunday, March 25(10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
So, even though Dalton will be a part of this episode, at the same time there is no 100% guarantee that the character is going to be back for this episode, either. It could take some time to get Conrad back in the swing of things. We hope that it happens, but it may just take a little bit of patience on everyone’s part in order to get to this point.
We suppose that it’s possible that Carradine won’t actually appear physically within this episode, but it’s rather hard to imagine telling this story without him being a part of it.
