When will Victoria season 3 premiere on PBS?
For now, it remains far too early for PBS to announce the Victoria season 3 premiere date officially — nonetheless, it is not too early to kick off some of the speculation! The network is one that relies first and foremost on consistency — they want their viewers to know when the show is on the air and there is little incentive for them to change things up. With this in mind, anticipate that the Jenna Coleman series will premiere once more the first or second Sunday in January and air through awards season and the Super Bowl. They see it as counter-programming, and by and large we do think that it is one of the best options out there since it’s so different from much of the competition.
For those wondering, ITV renewed Victoria last year in the UK, so there isn’t really anything to worry about when it comes to the series’ return. There is certainly plenty of the Queen’s story to tell. The only question to wonder is just how long you can continue the run of Victoria with Coleman as the lead. We could envision another season or two but if the writing keeps jumping forward at its present place in time, could the series eventually recast many of the characters in a manner similar to The Crown? Much of that depends on how long Daisy Goodwin wants to keep the series going. For now, it is very much successful both in the UK and all over the world.
