Suits season 7: Darvey voted in landslide as most-popular ‘ship
In our almost seven years of existence at CarterMatt, we’re not sure that there’s been a poll as dominant as the one we conducted as to the most-popular Suits ‘ship in existence. We knew that the passion for Donna and Harvey a.k.a. Darvey was like nothing else, but the vote tally here proves it.
Basically, Darvey cleaned house in this poll with a good 98% of the audience choosing the two of them as their personal favorite ‘ship tied to the show. We can’t exactly say that we are shocked by this for a couple of different reasons.
1. The longing for the two to get together – There’s more of an incentive to turn out and vote for a couple that isn’t together, mostly because of the fact that it’s encouragement for show producers to make a move. Darvey fans have been waiting for years to see something happen between the two characters, and we are finally getting near the point where we are starting to have hope that something could finally transpire. We don’t think the writers are going to just ignore the kiss that just took place.
2. The performances – One of the reasons why we root so much for these characters is because Sarah Rafferty and Gabriel Macht do such an amazing job in the roles. There’s a lot of love there for Donna and Harvey, but also the right amount of tension and a genuine push and pull. That’s something that a show like this benefits from — Harvey needs to be challenged and so does Donna in turn. They’re both strong characters who don’t back down.
Hopefully, this result is a nice encouragement for someone over at Suits to make a move that brings these two together. We’ll have to wait until late March to find out for sure, but know that there will be more coverage here at the site every step of the way.
