NCIS season 15 spoilers: French Stewart returning as Paul Triff
According to TVLine, the 3rd Rock from the Sun alum is coming back as Triff, a.k.a. the criminal who used to live in McGee’s apartment. How is that happening? We’re not exactly going to say that it’s a way in which McGee is going to be happy about! The character will return to his one-time residence as a result of NCIS striking a deal with him — he can stay there for 48 hours provided that he offers up some information on Gabriel Hicks. This is the show’s most-notorious villain at the moment, and he will be a part of the story both on Tuesday’s episode and then “Keep Your Enemies Closer” on February 27, the first episode back after the Winter Olympics.

As a result of Triff coming “home” again, this is going to cause McGee to make what we consider to be a pretty-understandable move: Sending away Delilah and the twins. Who would want to be around this sort of chaos?
As someone who’s loved Stewart’s work for years we’re more than happy to bring him back onto this show — in general, we like that NCIS offers up opportunities for comedic actors to take on much more dramatic roles. You’ve got that in the main cast with Wilmer Valderrama, formerly of That 70’s Show. Meanwhile, we’ve recently seen Jon Cryer as a guest star and Drew Carey will be appearing a little bit later this season. Hopefully, Carey will have a chance to make a return visit ever after this.
When it comes to the Gabriel Hicks story, meanwhile, it’s pretty darn easy to be excited about that. How could we not be given the way that his first appearance on the show went.
