Is Lucas Black leaving NCIS: New Orleans after LaSalle story?

Lucas Black leaving

If there’s one thing that we know about tonight’s NCIS: New Orleansit is that they wanted you to be asking this question and/or screaming it at the heavens: Is Lucas Black leaving? Is it possible that this is something that could really go down?

Well, the longer that the episode went alone, the more that there were questions that started to form in regards to whether or not this could happen. LaSalle’s father died, and with that he faced some serious questions as to whether or not he could come back home. It made sense for those close to him to want to do that, mostly due to the simple fact that he was beloved in that community … and it was also what was desired in his father’s will.

LaSalle cares about his family. Yet, at the same time he also cares about his job and all of the good that he can do helping people. That’s why this was such a difficult decision for him. He didn’t want to work at the company, but there were people who could’ve counted on him there.

Without even knowing the end result of this story, the first thing that we had to do tonight was offer up all sorts of praise for Black’s performance. He did a lot of great stuff tonight as LaSalle, working to channel various stages of grief. He recognized what happened, but he still couldn’t find a proper way to process it.

The great news here is simply this: LaSalle, and in turn Lucas Black, isn’t going anywhere. While this episode probably did make you worry (and understandably so at times), he decided at the end of the episode that he wasn’t going to be going anywhere. If his father wanted him to run the business, he was going to do so from New Orleans — and he wasn’t going to be giving up anyway in the process.

If you’re a LaSalle fan, this is where you can let out a deep sigh of relief. Your favorite Country Mouse looks to be sticking around for a while!
