SEAL Team episode 13 preview: ‘Getaway Day’ promises Jason, Alana decision

What’s coming up on SEAL Team episode 13? We first teased earlier this week that the title for this episode was “Getaway Day,” but beyond that there wasn’t a whole lot of additional information about the installment available.

Luckily, we’re glad to be able to be able to share some additional details regarding SEAL Team episode 13 now. The photo above makes one thing clear right away: This will be an installment with some serious, harrowing, and emotional moments. It’s hard to say anything else about an episode that features a memorial for some sort of fallen soldiers. Jason and the team are going to find themselves thrown into combat so much faster than anyone imagined — it may be one of the necessarily evils of the job, but it’s still not something that they expected in this instance.

The SEAL Team episode 13 synopsis gives you a greater sense as to some of what’s coming — and there is ultimately a lot:

“Getaway Day” – Jason and the SEAL Team must leave their families immediately when their deployment date is moved up after the team they were going to relieve is ambushed. Also, Jason and Alana make a big decision about their future, and Clay and Stella feel the weight of his marriage proposal, on SEAL TEAM, Wednesday, Jan. 31 (9:01-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

SEAL Team episode 13 is probably going to be a super-emotional hour for one reason behind the scenes: This may have been mapped out at one point as a season finale. Remember that this series, much like many others in the fall, was only given thirteen episodes at the time in which CBS first ordered it. While there may have been many elements of this episode changed after they learned they were getting a full season, we do wonder just how much of the original skeleton is still here. Given that we have big decisions coming for several of the show’s couples, it definitely does feel as though this episode will be especially enormous.
