Better Call Saul season 4 filming (officially) begins in Albuquerque
This news was first made official in a new post on Twitter from showrunner Peter Gould, who shared a photo that made the start of filming 100% official. This is a move that’s been a long time coming, even in comparison to some other seasons over the past few years. In the past, we’ve seen seasons start up everywhere from the summer to the fall; this is the latest (or technically, the earliest in the year) that we’ve seen filming officially kick off in New Mexico.
Why the long wait for Better Call Saul season 4 filming to officially happen? There are always a wide array of different reasons why that can happen — in the end, the reasoning for the delay doesn’t quite matter anywhere as much as the fact itself that it’s finally kicking off and new episodes will be coming sooner rather than later. The delay in production also means that there will be a delay in the show airing. Right now a late summer/early fall premiere seems to be the likeliest of scenarios based on everything from the teasers that AMC is airing to reports that it could premiere in September.
For the time being, the biggest thing to celebrate is simply the fact that you’re going to be seeing more Jimmy McGill a.k.a. Saul Goodman on the show. It makes more sense than ever to label things this way, given the fact that in season 3 Jimmy started to use that alter ego for the first time — it wasn’t so much for legal purposes, but this is the sort of thing that has to kick off in some shape or form at some point.
What do you want the Better Call Saul season 4 premiere date to be, and happy that production is officially underway? Be sure to share right now in the comments!
