Vikings season 5 episode 9 preview: The fears of tragedy spread

Are you ready for Vikings season 5 episode 9 to come on the air next week? We definitely hope so, given that all signs point towards this being one of the best episodes of the season. If nothing else, it’s absolutely going to be an exciting one!

The first thing that we love about Vikings season 5 episode 9 is the simple fact that clearly, show creator Michael Hirst is trying to throw people off. The title for this episode is “A Simple Story,” which is the sort of thing that makes you on the surface think that nothing bad could possibly happen in the world … even if you know that this is not actually the case and there is a very real chance that some serious stuff could go down.

Yeah, so that fear we had about something serious? Well, we think that this synopsis is basically all of the validation you need that something terrible is going to be happening. That does make sense, mostly given that it’s been a while since we’ve lost a valuable character on Vikings. You can look towards History for some hints on what’s coming, provided that you really would like to. Yet, one of the things that makes the future of the show so ambiguous is the fact that there is not a whole lot of history out there on some of these people. There’s not just some robust amount of documentation out there surrounding how certain people died. There’s a lot of ambiguity there, and that is something that we really do hope the show explores more in the weeks to come. Part of the fun the final two episodes of the season will be sitting on the edge of your seat, waiting for this mysterious other show to drop.
