Will Lucy Hale appear on Pretty Little Liars spin-off The Perfectionists?
With that in mind, will Lucy Hale appear on the Pretty Little Liars spin-off The Perfectionists? It’s absolutely a fair question, but unfortunately, it doesn’t seem as though this is a gig completely in the cards for her.
Speaking to TV Guide, Hale confirmed recently that she’s not planning to play Aria again, though the proximity of that show’s possible set to her own in Vancouver may render it possible for her to stop by at some point:
“I don’t think I will be in the spin-off … I will definitely be supporting and watching. I think they’re actually going to film in Vancouver, so I might go like stalk the set a little bit.”

It does make sense that Hale would want to move forward, given that she played Aria for many years and has an opportunity now to forge a new identity with another character. Even if she had a huge interest in appearing, there are of course some other problems that go along with that. For one, she would have to figure out a right way to make it work story-wise. While The Perfectionists may have a number of things in common with Pretty Little Liars, at the same time it’s not trying to be the same exact show. If that was the case, there’d really be no point in even doing it. You could have just continued Pretty Little Liars for a little while longer.
At the moment, it’s still too early into The Perfectionists and its development cycle to know a whole lot about it. The one thing we do feel is that the show is going to need to do is find its own angle, and get an audience that is not just PLL fans wanting to celebrate the nostalgia that they have for that show.
