Kerry Washington on Scandal – How to Get Away with Murder crossover
So what did Washington have to say about the Scandal – How to Get Away with Murder crossover while at the Golden Globes? Let’s just say that she made a fairly compelling comparison.
Speaking to Ryan Seacrest on the Globes’ red carpet, she made it clear that there was some similarity between her and Viola working together with Shonda Rhimes to many Hollywood women wearing black in support of each other and the #MeToo / Times Up movements that are going on:
“It actually reminds me of what’s happening on the [red carpet] together … Strong women coming together at the same time … It’s how we always roll at Shondaland. We stand in solidarity all the time.”

This crossover is a very ambitious idea, but we definitely do understand why it is happening and why now was the right time for it. There’s not going to be another chance for Scandal to be featured with this being the final season, and it’s clearly going to be a great opportunity to cross-promote the two shows. We just hope that there is a very organic reason for it and there are some really great opportunities for this story to pay off.

As for what Washington says she is looking to do next, it appears as though she could be circling a theater gig; meanwhile, at the same time she has a production company and will be looking to do even more great stuff in conjunction with that.
